A few years ago, I was looking to buy a fall wreath. To my surprise, I discovered wreaths are pretty expensive, especially the nice looking ones! I didn’t have that kind of money in my budget to spend on house decor, so I sadly came home without a wreath. Later that week, I was in a dollar store and saw a bunch of fall leaf floral pieces, so I decided to get a little creative.
I ended up taking a spring/ summer wreath that I already had and added some fall leaves in to change it up for the season…and voila it looked like I had a brand new (even expensive) fall wreath!
What’s really great about this wreath is that after fall, I can take out all of the leaves and it’s ready for spring again! This is my 4th year using this same wreath and I absolutely love it!
What you need:
A Spring/ Summer Wreath (this yellow one works so well with the colors of fall, but try using what you have!)
Dollar store fall leaves ( I bought one garland, and one bunch of leaves and cut them down into little pieces with the hard stem still attached to each piece)
The hard stems really help you stick them into the twig part of the wreath so they don’t fall out.
Take 5 minutes, put leaves in your wreath, hang, and enjoy!
Will adding fall leaves to your wreath work for you?
